ABOUT ME
My Photograph Journey began in highschool with an intro to photography class. At the time I thoroughly enjoyed the tactility of playing with film and exploring with digital photography. After that semester I thought about getting my own camera, but with limited time I never followed up. Fast forward 12 years; Over the holidays, I came across my grandfather's Nikon FE and some lenses of his with the bonus of some old expired film. A few attempts at some photos and it appeared to jam... not a great Start. Some tinkering and research later the Camera was working again. That's where my current exploration of photography truly begins.
Beginning with a camera of sentimental value, I soon began looking beyond basic "point and shoot" photography mindset and started exploring the art of it. Playing with color, B&W, color cast films was the start and learning to see the world through the expected cast of the film I soon progressed to wanting to explore medium format film and diving deeper into a subject rather than just the film itself.
That brings us to now. Looking to go from casual photography to something that might be worth something to someone else, I've started down the path of Portrait photography and Landscape Photography, with creative and unique films as the backbone of what I'm looking for. But that may not be for everyone, so working to find ways to use standard film stocks in a way that is in line with the way my subjects (read: friends) want to be seen.
